UC San Diego Women's Volleyball Camps Frequently Asked Questions I signed up for camp now what? First of all on behalf of the UC San Diego Volleyball Camp Staff we would like to say Congratulations and Thank You for signing up for one of the premier volleyball camps in the country. Camper check in for the individual all skills camp will begin at 2pm at Tenaya Hall in Muir College - for a campus map, click here. See you then! Where will my child be staying?  All resident campers will be staying Tenaya Hall in Muir College. This facility gives our campers the opportunity to interact with many new people and make new friendships. The halls are grouped into two story "Houses" - each house comprised of two actual floors. Each house provides rooms for about 70 students, who live in one of eight single-sex suites. A suite is typically made up of three double rooms, and two or three single rooms. Each suite shares a bathroom which contains two showers, two toilets, two sinks, mirrors and cubby holes for toiletries. Each student is provided an extra long twin bed, a desk, chair, bookcase, closet and small drawer unit in their room. Adjoining suites share a lounge with couches, a table, a microwave and a sink. The entire house shares another, larger lounge with couches, armchairs, a coffee table, study tables, chairs and blackboards.Students living in the residence halls are not responsible for their own housekeeping and cooking. Meals are provided for resident campers in the cafeteria. No pets are allowed in the res halls, other than fish in small tanks. All residential life policies apply. UC San Diego is conveniently located 15 minutes from the San Diego International Airport. For a fee of $20 UC San Diego Volleyball Staff will pick up and drop off campers. What should my child bring to camp? Will they have bedding? Laundry? Do they need extra cash? See Volleyball Camper Checklist What happens if my child gets hurt? Do you have a trainer in the gym? There will be an athletic trainer on site that will handle any and all medical needs for the campers. Please be sure to be as detailed as possible when filling out your campers medical form so that we may be prepared to manage your campers needs. Who is watching them at night in the dorms? Will someone walk them over after practice at night? How far is the gym from the Dorm? Campers are supervised at all times by UC San Diego Volleyball Camp Staff. Typically the ratio is 8 campers to 1 staff member. A staff member will be supervising the campers to and from all practices. The distance from the dorm to the gym is roughly a 10 minute walk. How do I sign up my team for the team camp? Please have them sign up online individually (indicating during registration their team affiliation) or contact the UCSD Women's Volleyball Office at 858-534-8443 for more information.
