 UC San Diego Women's Volleyball Camps2008 Skills Camp July 11, 2008 Update - RESIDENTIAL CAMPERS for the July 13th camp - Check-in time has been changed to 3pm (rather than previously scheduled 1pm) Skills Camp AGES: Girls ages 12 to 18 DATE: July 13-16, 2008 COST: $500 Resident / $425 Commuter
This camp will teach the fundamentals of volleyball using simple techniques for each skill and quickly advancing to game application. Campers will be grouped according to ability and experience. Our unique system of breaking up the age groups into Blue and Gold sessions allows campers to be placed where they will be capably challenged to improve at each session. Our camp is designed to quickly build understanding of the game for beginners and also be challenging for experienced Volleyball players. Head Coach Tom Black will instruct each skill using members of the UC San Diego Women’s Volleyball team to demonstrate. Campers will practice the skills in small groups with one coach for every six to eight campers. Resident campers will stay in campus dormitories chaperoned by members of the UC San Diego Women’s team. A shuttle to and from the San Diego airport will be available for a $20 fee. Please schedule flights as close to the check in and check out times as possible. Sample Schedule:
